Gina Y. Erwin, Senior Vice President

Gina's focus, as a part of the executive team, is promoting superior performance at each community through Preferred’s approach of Comprehensive Management. Gina designs the operational guidelines for each community and directs the training and oversight of all personnel. She also devises revenue growth opportunities, and identifies new manpower efficiencies, which combine to elevate overall property performance compared to the general market. As leader of the property management team, Gina directs Preferred Communities’ apartment operations towards its goals of asset preservation, rental rate growth, expense control, and resident satisfaction.

Previously, Gina was a Regional Manager for Equity Residential’s Houston portfolio for seven years, with direct supervision of multifamily properties totaling over 3,500 units. Prior to Equity Residential, Gina spent ten years with the Dinerstein Management Company in Houston, where she first served as a Marketing Coordinator and was later promoted to Regional Manager. While at Dinerstein, she supervised a diverse portfolio, including conventional and student housing communities.

Gina attended the University of Texas at Austin. In her twenty years in the multifamily industry, Gina has completed numerous specialized continuing education classes and seminars specific to the apartment industry.
